Winery

Tanagra currently has 12.5 ha of vines in cultivation, mainly noble red wine cultivars (Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinotage) and white Colombar (known to grow specifically well in the area).

Tanagra is a boutique wine cellar producing only small amounts of high quality and unique red wines under the label ‘Tanagra’. Winemaker in charge is currently John Hargreaves from Wolfdoring Wines, McGregor, who started making the Tanagra wines from the harvest 2007. Apart from the Tanagra wines most of our grapes are delivered to the McGregor Winery.
